Please register so you can leave comments for my posts. I will be online 12+ hours a day for the next couple weeks getting everything done that I have on my list. I need to get another digital camera so I can take more pics. This picture here is one of my favorite areas in Acapulco. Peace :)

It Begins

September 28th, 2009

After many weeks of trying to get things squared away enough here in Mexico, I’m finally able to be online at my new apartment and start working on the net. For basic 60 channel cable and 1.5mbps broadband cost about $35/month. I also got a bed now and a tv and stereo. Instead of wasting money on a new computer I just purchased a cheap flat screen to make my eeepc work again.

I have 3 major overhauls to do first. One is this site, which I will start today. I will be completely redoing this site. It should only take me 1 or 2 days to do this and import all my old data into my new database. To save time I’ll be putting WordPress back on this site and using already made subscription services scripts. I’m making this site subscription based to help pay for my server bill each month. At the same time that I’m working on this site and my others I will be spamming hard in a blackhat marketing campaign, to get some money rolling right away. I’ll be running out of cash pretty fast because I’ve decided to pay for rent many months in advance with the money I have coming in right now. This money stops the end of October. I’ll spend the first few weeks on here getting all my old stuff updated. I do have my messengers online so for those of you that know my info please feel free to chat. I have a lot more to write but I want to get busy on these things. I’ll update more soon. Peace

What´s wrong with US today?

September 28th, 2009

Normally I reserve these for a blog, but this has been on my mind for over a year now. I´ve never been great with words, spelling, or putting things into complete sentences but I will do my best to try here.

One thing that I´ve come to enjoy about hitchhiking around is the time to think. From a ditch in Indiana to the mountains of Wyoming and now the beaches of Acapulco. I really do enjoy just kicking back and relaxing. While doing this I usually day dream or think about things that have happened in days past. One thing that comes across my mind so often is how people don´t seem to care anymore. I hear the words “I don´t care” more often than any other words. I´m not that old, but do remember when people did. Growing up in Negaunee Michigan I remember neighbors knowing neighbors and helping each other out with snow or other small tasks. Now I look at people broke down stranded on the road with nobody stopping to help. People don´t seem to think much about anyone but themselves. When did this happen and why did it happen? The reason I bring this up is because I find myself being found by good caring people all the time when I travel. The small percentage that is left out there seems to be the ticket for the average hitchhiker. Same is true most recently here in Mexico. After spending days with nothing on a concrete bench in a plaza near the beach. One person out of thousands that passed by everyday decided to ask why I was there. I gave as brief as an explanation as I could. This man got me some fresh water and food without even thinking about it. The next day he invited me to stay with his family until I had some money to get an apartment or bus ticket out of town. I stayed and observed his family for just shy of a week. Come to find out, he and his family are struggling pretty badly. They are vendors that make necklaces, bracelets and many other things around the aztec culture. I decided to stay here and spend what money I do have trying to help them get a computer, internet and teach them how to sell and process orders online. Its a family like this that does care. Which I believe is one part of being a good human. I know I´m not perfect, but I do think I must have ended up here for a reason. Wish us all luck and please feel free to pass this page on to a friend or copy and paste blogs in a email. Thank You.

Acapulco Life

September 28th, 2009

First off I wanted to thank those that donated! A little money goes a very long way here in Mexico. I just recently paid for my first month of rent in a brand new 20′x20′ apartment. Its the perfect size for Manny and I. At just shy of $100/month I couldn’t resist. I’m located about a 3/4 of a mile up in the hills from the market in downtown Acapulco. Its a nice area! The place has gated entry and my apartment is its own little building in a small courtyard. So now on with the hard stuff. I met this guy named Teo, he and I are going to start a website selling vendors crafts and such on the internet. Having Teo purchase the things as a local he can buy things very very cheap. Should be able to undercut just about any competition on the net I could find for buying hammocks and such. I hope to be able to make enough money writing some new scripts in the next week out of this internet cafe to buy internet for my apartment and also get a monitor for my broken laptop. Its just the screen that broke so I should be able to pick up a monitor pretty cheap at a pawn shop. If all goes well I’ll have a site on my server fully operational within the next 2 weeks. I’m also going to be changing this site to a subsciption service and will be broadcasting here live video once I get setup in my apartment. I’ll be on here more in the next few days. I have some running around to do today to try and make some cash. Peace
