We’re sorry this video is no longer available

September 28th, 2009

With no real response or resolution to this problem I made a short clip telling people that the video is no longer available. Hoping now that someone can share a little insight into this issue. When I try to view top videos and others about 70% of them don’t load due to that error message. I’ve noticed posts that other people are having this problem but when I’ve tried all suggestions to resolve it, I still get the error. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. I’ll upload some thanksgiving pictures to my gallery shortly. Peace.

Turkey Week Update

September 28th, 2009

One thing I finally got is a new digital camera. Picked up a 8.1mega pixel Sony cybershot last week and will be putting the gallery back online here very soon. I do have lots of updating to do of scripts and on this site. Right now it looks like I’ll be staying up here most of the winter, besides a couple flights to go visit family. Recently I’ve been working on getting a security system installed with cameras. This will be accessible from the internet very soon. I’ll also be installing a cell phone repeater system here in December. I’ll be adding more very soon but for now here is a picture of Manny inside one of the temporary offices we have out here.

Getting Cold Out

September 28th, 2009

Time for another update of the happenings up here in Idaho. Not much new happening on the actual job site. But things are starting to come together nicely. I’m picking up a couple extra projects while up here. I do have lots of updating to do on scripts I’ve sold. But I won’t bore you guys with those details. ;)

So on to what I’ve been up to the past couple weeks. I’d like to start with a job site incident. A little while ago, diesel fuel and materials started disappearing from the job site. We figured it was probably just a couple kids messing around. Until a couple days after the diesel fuel disappearance, a guy drove up asking if a coworker and I would like to buy some of his recently acquired diesel. HA! Can’t point fingers for sure but that would be a very classic Darwinism! We never did find out anything else but just as well nothing else has gone missing since.

On to last week. I had a very clumsy morning. My clumsiness was easily displayed in the size of my swollen hand/wrist. Yup, I twisted the f*$? out of it. Its still in the healing process, but I am at least able to start doing some more updating! I did take a couple days off from working here to heal up a bit. Oddly enough it didn’t seem to start healing until I went into Sandpoint last Friday. A few hours at a couple different local bars and it was feeling very good! Plenty good enough for me to wonder around and goto the eye doc still intoxicated Saturday morning. Regardless I got my new contacts! Tom and I then came back up to Priest Lake for a early Halloween Party they were having at Grandview Resort. We met up with our boss there and had a great time! Ran into a lot of locals that I have met since me being up here and some new people from out of town. Its great meeting all these people that have been coming to this area for years. Specially when I just found out about it a month or so ago.

One last thing… I decided to get a reaction video of my boss watching 2 girls 1 cup in his Halloween outfit. But for some reason my internal camera isn’t working. :( I’m sure those of you that have seen the video can imagine his reaction.

Hope all is well with everyone and hope to talk to you all soon! Peace.

Update 2

September 28th, 2009

Ok so after all garage is saved by the bravery of a couple of younger gentlemen, it comes to helping the real firefighters that have no arrived with truck, and boats to extinguish the flames to prevent the fire spreading. This is the fun part, to actually man handle fire houses full pressure to spray massive amounts of water onto a fire. I swear it brought the kid out in all of us, including our boss Dan. I have never seen a grown adult more excited outside a stripclub(hehe). I guess its why firefighters really do love their jobs. It is an exciting time and situation. In the long run we saved the neighborhood from burning down. It was to late to save the house that started it at the time, so it quickly turned to containment. I am proud yet humbled by how life can certainly change in an instance. We went from shoveling dirt to being volunteer firefighters in the matter of a few minutes. I somehow hope that the owners of that property(which happen to live out of state) find this blog to realize how it has impacted a few lives. Jayson(one of the coworkers) said “That was awesome, I wan’t to be a firefighter!”. That says it all!!
