First off I wanted to thank those that donated! A little money goes a very long way here in Mexico. I just recently paid for my first month of rent in a brand new 20′x20′ apartment. Its the perfect size for Manny and I. At just shy of $100/month I couldn’t resist. I’m located about a 3/4 of a mile up in the hills from the market in downtown Acapulco. Its a nice area! The place has gated entry and my apartment is its own little building in a small courtyard. So now on with the hard stuff. I met this guy named Teo, he and I are going to start a website selling vendors crafts and such on the internet. Having Teo purchase the things as a local he can buy things very very cheap. Should be able to undercut just about any competition on the net I could find for buying hammocks and such. I hope to be able to make enough money writing some new scripts in the next week out of this internet cafe to buy internet for my apartment and also get a monitor for my broken laptop. Its just the screen that broke so I should be able to pick up a monitor pretty cheap at a pawn shop. If all goes well I’ll have a site on my server fully operational within the next 2 weeks. I’m also going to be changing this site to a subsciption service and will be broadcasting here live video once I get setup in my apartment. I’ll be on here more in the next few days. I have some running around to do today to try and make some cash. Peace

September 28th, 2009Beach Life
September 28th, 2009I`ve now been crashing on the beach here in Acapulco for about a week. There has been lots of harassment by the police but nothing to bad. Last night was the first night I had something stolen here in Acapulco. I had Manny off of his leash for the night so he could move around. Someone snuck in late and stole his leash. I had my hiking boots with me though, so I just made a quick attachment with the laces from them. A lot of locals have been pretty cool. During the day I hang out in the same spot and just sleep most of the day while waiting for this money to get here. Tomorrow I will be going to the U.S. Consulate again and try to get my passport paper work rolling. I hope I can get that done and available withing a week or so. Tonight I`m going to check on a job at a club. They asked me if I would be interested in doing promoting for the club while I`m here. Not much going on other than that. I just sit and wait patiently. Peace and Love

Another Week
September 28th, 2009It not being tourist season here in Acapulco has really hurt the ability to spange from tourists. I was suppose to have received my deposit from Idaho this week but after going to the consulate and calling them I find out the money will not go through till next thursday. So another week here sleeping on the beach getting screwed with by the police every night. The good thing is I don`t have any money for them to take. So it is kind of comical watching them search my stuff looking for money, when there is none. I was able to sell a little flashlight I have for 50 pesos. Which 20 of it went into getting on here and 13 for a 5 liter jug of water. So it returns me to asking if anyone that reads this blog has the ability to paypal us a few bucks. If anyone does just leave a comment in the donation that you would like the money paid back, and I will resend on paypal once my unemployment finally gets on. As it goes $100 would last me here like 10 days. Most meals cost about $30 pesos and there is approx. $13 pesos in a dollar right now. I have dog food for Manny that was kicked down by a local OXXO convienence store. Any help would be greatly appreciated at this time. Im gonna try and get in contact with the American Legion here and see if they know of any work for food type things that might be around until the end of next week. I will be going to the consulate again on Monday to see the guy there. I can make emergency phone calls from there for free between 10am and 2pm Central time. Write again soon if I can. Thanks in advance for anyone that may donate. Peace

Acapulco
September 28th, 2009You win some you lose some is the best way to look at this situation. The closer we got to Oaxaca the worse things got. The guy Manny and I were riding with ended up being a complete pyscho. Making threats and causing nothing but problems. Long story short, he and his girlfriend had been bickering for a few days and he decided to take out his anger on me. I really don`t know if they are real threats or not but I decided not to take any chances and be stressed about it. So Manny and I got out in Acapulco and reported the incident to the U.S. Consulate here. Hoping they would help me get a passport and transportation back to the states or atleast do the loan thing for food and a room for a few days while I wait for my unemployment money to deposit. Unfortunately the guy that works there is on vacation. So we`ll just hang on the beach for a while waiting for the money from my unemployment. I will probably stay here for a week or so until I get more money to buy a bus ticket to somewhere cooler. I think I may get a bus up to Zacatecas. I remember the last time I was there and really enjoyed the area. Once there I plan on just hanging out in a cheap cheap hotel for a while and just enjoy some time relaxing. I probably won`t be posting much on here in the next week or more because the cost of getting online for a hour is about a days worth of food for me. Talk with you all soon. Peace
