I left Priest Lake on Saturday morning the 1st of August. Work had really slowed down there and after a 2 week trip to New Mexico for the national rainbow gathering I became sad and lonely for the road. I hitched out of Spokane to meet up with a friend from the road near Seattle Washington. We spent a few days there working for a contractor for some extra cash. After leaving Seattle my we drove in my buds truck down to Portland Oregon to pick up his girlfriend. Had a break down there that cost about $700 to fix the clutch and tranny. Soon as that was fixed we headed down to Reno NV where my friend got arrested for driving without a license. The state of Nevada has very heft fines for this. His girlfriend and I spent a couple days in Lake Tahoe to get the $1,835 required to get him out of jail and then continued down the road. On the way out of Reno my laptop finally shit the bed after a lot of abuse! So I’m currently sitting at a library in Flagstaff Arizona. I’ll be purchasing a new laptop here as soon as I can. I miss writing in this blog so its going to be fun to show you and talk about all the things I’ll be seeing and doing in the next few years. Take care all and its good to be back!!!

Across Washington
September 28th, 2009About a hour before a guy named Eric gave me a ride half way to Spokane. In a small town on the bank of the Colombia river I chatted with some locals and met a another couple that was hitching down towards New Mexico. I ended up getting a ride after many hours there. The girl that picked me up was heading to Spokane so she brought me right to the house of Ian. I met Ian on a hitching forum. Spent the night in his yard, drinking a few beers and meeting some of his friends and family. Had a nice time there and a friend of his brought me a little ways out of town to get me started the next day hitching again. That day I wasn’t much in the mood to hitch around so I just looked for a good camping spot and caught up on some rest. The next morning I didn’t make it to far down the road before getting picked up by a couple younger guys heading to a barter fair. I took them up on their offer and went to the barter fair to see if I knew anyone out there. The barter fair was about 12 miles off of US-2 so the next morning I started walking back to US-2 to continue hitching east. That leaves me at my current location. A small Store & More place off the side of 211 in northern Washington. They happened to have wifi so I figured I’d try to update this before continuing my walk back to US-2. I guess I have about 5 1/2 miles back to US-2 so should be there in a couple hours after I leave this store. Will write more once I get into Idaho or Montana.. Peace.
