Ok so after all garage is saved by the bravery of a couple of younger gentlemen, it comes to helping the real firefighters that have no arrived with truck, and boats to extinguish the flames to prevent the fire spreading. This is the fun part, to actually man handle fire houses full pressure to spray massive amounts of water onto a fire. I swear it brought the kid out in all of us, including our boss Dan. I have never seen a grown adult more excited outside a stripclub(hehe). I guess its why firefighters really do love their jobs. It is an exciting time and situation. In the long run we saved the neighborhood from burning down. It was to late to save the house that started it at the time, so it quickly turned to containment. I am proud yet humbled by how life can certainly change in an instance. We went from shoveling dirt to being volunteer firefighters in the matter of a few minutes. I somehow hope that the owners of that property(which happen to live out of state) find this blog to realize how it has impacted a few lives. Jayson(one of the coworkers) said “That was awesome, I wan’t to be a firefighter!”. That says it all!!
